Description

Coulommiers Gillot Noir is one of the oldest French cheeses, known as “Brie’s younger brother.” The cheese is made in Normandy from raw cow’s milk, collected within a 40 km radius of the creamery. This guarantees a rich and authentic flavour.

Coulommiers has a dense, velvety rind covered in white mold. Inside is a soft, melting, creamy paste. The cheese offers a rich, buttery flavour with distinct notes of fresh mushrooms. The flavour becomes sharper and more intense as it matures.

Coulommiers is ideal for a cheese board or for baking. It ideally pairs with white wines, such as Chardonnay, and sparkling wines (Champagne) or light, fruity reds (e.g., Beaujolais, Pinot Noir) are also suitable.
