Description
Tomme de Savoie is a French semi-hard cheese from the Savoie region, made from whole raw cow’s milk. It has a firm, elastic texture with small holes and a natural grey-brown rind. The flavour is rich and expressive, with earthy, woody, mushroom and nutty notes.
Tomme de Savoie is well suited to a cheese board and pairs with rustic bread, pears and cured meats.
It pairs well with medium-bodied red wines, such as Pinot Noir or Gamay, as well as fresh white wines from Savoie.
