Description
Chabichou is a traditional goat’s cheese from the Poitou region of France. Producers use whole goat’s milk to craft it.
The cheese features a distinctive conical shape. Geotrichum mold develops the thin, wrinkled rind.
The flavour is fresh, tangy, and creamy, with notes of nut and a light acidity.
Serve it best with fresh fruits, nuts, or honey. It pairs excellently with dry white wines: Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, or sparkling wines from the Loire region.
